Fans reacted to Tommy Fury willingly accepting a leg kick from UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.

There have been many debates over the years about how professional boxers would fare in MMA. The two primary disadvantages for boxers making the transition would be their lack of experience in grappling and kicking.

On Wednesday, Aspinall posted a video on Instagram showcasing the latter reason in a friendly way with Fury. The professional boxer who holds wins against KSI and Jake Paul agreed to let the UFC interim heavyweight champion kick him in the leg.

Aspinall's Instagram video previewing the content featured the following caption:

"And his name is @johncena 🦵🤣 @tommyfury Dead Leg challenge coming to my YouTube channel 🤛"

Fans took to the Instagram comment section and reacted to Fury allowing Aspinall to kick him in the leg:

"A kick to the thigh or shin from anyone is painful. But from UFC Heavyweight Tom Aspinall. Probably feels like you're being hit by a car."
"I don't imagine my body processing that kick for the first few seconds. Pure shock. Then I imagine I'd feel like my leg had been broken. 😂"
"I am 100 percent sure that my leg would snap if a UFC heavyweight leg kicked me 😂"
"He was brave 😮"

What's next for Tom Aspinall and Tommy Fury in their respective combat sports careers?

In November 2023, Tom Aspinall knocked out Sergei Pavlovich in round one of their UFC 295 bout to claim the interim heavyweight title. Due to the postponement of Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic, Aspinall was forced to defend his interim strap against Curtis Blaydes in July with another first-round knockout.

Jones and Miocic are scheduled to fight for the heavyweight title on November 16 in the UFC 309 main event. Regardless of who wins, Dana White has ensured Aspinall will face them for a unification bout in 2025, assuming they don't retire.

As for Tommy Fury, he fought twice in 2023, defeating Jake Paul in February and KSI in October. The 25-year-old capitalized on the crossover boxing scene and finds himself in a solid spot to secure a high-paying rematch against either YouTuber-turned-boxer. It's unclear when and who Fury will fight next.
