UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa took to social media to express his displeasure with the recently released 'Joker: Folie à Deux'. The highly anticipated sequel, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, has faced harsh criticism from both fans and critics alike, with many upset about the film's tonal shifts and musical elements.

Early screenings have been underwhelming, with the movie grossing half of what the original 'Joker' made in 2019.

Reacting to the movie, Costa shared an explicit picture of a person in Joker face paint on X and expressed his frustration, writing:

“After 5 f**king years … I take off of my house to the theater to watch The joker 2 and see this sh*t . Frankly, im tired of this woke sh*t.”

Paulo Costa reveals who he would like as his next opponent

Paulo Costa recently revealed his preferred opponents for his next UFC fight, making it clear he’s seeking the toughest challenges in the division. The No.8-ranked middleweight is under pressure to secure a win, as he’s 1-4 in his last five bouts, with losses to Robert Whittaker and Sean Strickland.

Costa, once an undefeated prospect, now needs a pivotal victory to remain relevant in the top 10 and regain title contention after his loss to Israel Adesanya in 2020.

During an appearance on Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson's JAXXON Podcast, Costa mentioned Chris Curtis and Khamzat Chimaev as potential next opponents:

"Chris Curtis... He's calling me out as well. But, somebody else maybe, I was trying [to fight Khamzat] Chimaev, but [UFC] put him against [Robert] Whittaker... I have called [out] some fights but the Sean Strickland [fight], they just offered me. I'm always looking for the hardest fights possible."
