Mike Tyson hits back at Deontay Wilder for worrying about his age before Jake Paul match: "You don't have to worry about paying my bills"

Mike Tyson is going to be fighting Jake Paul in the Fall and does not seem to care what Deontay Wilder thinks about that.

With the Paul vs Tyson fight having been discussed for months now, Wilder has indicated his worries about the fight. The former WBC heavyweight champion has questioned 'Iron' Mike even being granted a license to fight after being out of professional competition for close to 20 years now. Wilder had also previously voiced concerns about Tyson potentially getting hurt in this endeavor.

In a recent interview with Esquire, addressing those worries from 'The Bronze Bomber', Tyson said,

"Then let Mike get hurt. You don't have to worry about paying my bills. Everyone says this makes no sense, but he's how old? He's not who I am. He can't go to Mongolia and have somebody know who the f*** he is."

Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder's public history

Even before his planned comeback contest against 'The Problem Child', Mike Tyson and Deontay Wilder have had some public issues before this.

The 58-year-old was the target of Wilder years back when he suggested that he would kick the hell out of Tyson, to use his operative wording, if the two men could have somehow fought in their respective primes.

'Iron' Mike also had his professional boxing resume dissected by Wilder with the 38-year-old questioning the depth of the quality of opposition Tyson faced and what top-level wins he had through his combat career.

This was received with a lot of backlash by several boxing fans and media members, who felt this was a disrespectful slight to the man who became the youngest world heavyweight champion in boxing history.

The native of New York state was supposed to fight Paul on July 20 before a medical issue for Tyson scrapped that booking. Tyson vs Paul will now take place on November 15 with 'The Problem Child' still deciding to compete this weekend.

On Saturday night, Paul will clash with BKFC superstar 'Platinum' Mike Perry. The King of Violence looks to hand Paul the second loss of his boxing career following the Tommy Fury setback on points, as Perry also seeks his first gloved boxing victory. Perry is 0-1 under Queensberry Rules and has not fought within the sweet science for almost a decade.
