Tito Ortiz recently delved into the world's 10 most talked-about conspiracy theories. Among all sports, mixed martial arts stands out for its extraordinary receptiveness to wild ideologies, which have long captivated the imagination of the masses.

'The People's Champ' has built a reputation as one of the most outspoken proponents of conspiracy theories in the MMA community. From asserting that the US government deliberately engineered COVID-19 as a tool for population control to alleging that the 2020 US presidential election was rigged in favor of Joe Biden, Ortiz has consistently embraced and promoted a variety of unconventional ideas.

During a recent interview on The Overdogs Podcast, the former UFC light heavyweight champion was asked to give his opinion on the 10 most widely circulated conspiracy theories with yes or no responses.

Ortiz confidently dismissed the existence of "lizard people," debunked the Apollo 11 moon landing as a hoax, affirmed the spherical nature of the Earth, and acknowledged that dinosaurs once roamed the planet.

Meanwhile, 'The People's Champ' lent credence to theories including the claim that former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama "is a man," the assertion of government involvement in former US president John F. Kennedy's assassination, the suggestion that current US President Biden publicly soiled his pants during a recent D-Day parade.

Additionally, Ortiz also seemed to support claims of Jay-Z and Beyonce's alleged affiliation with the Illuminati, the belief that the CIA initiated the AIDS epidemic, and the controversial notion that the US government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

What prompted Tito Ortiz to leave his political career?

Tito Ortiz, who took office as mayor of his hometown in Dec. 2020, abruptly resigned from his political position in Huntington Beach, California, just six months later in June 2021. He cited relentless "character assassination" and ongoing attacks that he claimed threatened the safety of his family as reasons for his resignation.

'The People's Champ' initially won the election with a record-breaking 42,000 votes for the Huntington Beach City Council. However, his ongoing conflicts with fellow council members became increasingly disruptive. In Feb. 2021, Ortiz faced potential removal from office for his refusal to wear a face mask during council meetings, further complicating his tenure.

Ortiz campaigned with the slogan "Make Huntington Beach Safe Again," a clear nod to former US president Donald Trump's "Make America Great Again" initiative. Throughout his campaign and tenure, Ortiz was vocal in his support for Trump, aligning himself closely with the former president's policies.
