Former Manchester United, Newcastle, and Leicester City player Danny Simpson made his boxing debut today as he faces social media star Danny Aarons in the headline fight at MF & DAZN: X Series 017.

The card took place at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, Additionally, a pair of MFB titles were also on the line as 'Deen The Great' took on Dave Fogarty in a lightweight bout while Gabriel Silva and Anthony Taylor clashed for the light heavyweight crown.

Sami Hamed vs. Jesse Clark

Sami Hamed, the son of boxing legend Naseem Hamed, showcased his dominance in the ring at the MF & DAZN X Series 17 event, defeating Jesse Clark via TKO in the second round.

Hamed entered the fight with a clear advantage, both in terms of pedigree and skill. He easily outclassed Clark, landing punches at will and controlling the pace of the fight. Clarke, despite his efforts, was unable to mount any significant offense against Hamed's superior skill and power. Deemed unable to continue, Clarke's corner threw in the towel, giving Hamed a decisive TKO victory.

Deen the Great vs. Dave Fogarty

In an exhilarating encounter at Misfits Boxing, 'Deen The Great' successfully defended his lightweight world title against a formidable challenge from Fogarty.

Fogarty started the fight strong, controlling the distance with his jab and landing effective combinations. However, 'Deen The Great's' power proved to be a decisive factor. His overhand right landed repeatedly, causing significant damage to Fogarty.

Despite Fogarty's toughness and determination, Deen's superior power eventually proved too much. In the third round, Deen landed another devastating overhand right, sending Fogarty to the canvas. The referee immediately stopped the fight, awarding the victory to 'Deen The Great'.

With this victory, 'Deen The Great' solidifies his position as one of the top fighters in Misfits Boxing.

Ben Williams vs. Warren Spencer

Ben Williams secured a dominant victory over Warren Spencer in their matchup at MF & DAZN X Series 17. Williams' superior technique and power were on full display from the outset, overwhelming Spencer and forcing him to rely on desperate tactics.

In the second round, Spencer landed a significant left hook but was ultimately punished for his recklessness. Williams countered with a flurry of punches, prompting the referee to intervene and stop the fight. Spencer was visibly upset with the stoppage, believing it to be premature.

However, the outcome was clear.

HS TikkyTokky vs. George Fensom

The highly-anticipated showdown between British fitness influencer HS TikkyTokky and Love Island contestant George Fensom did not disappoint.

Before the fight, the two competitors engaged in playful banter, with TikkyTokky revealing that Fensom had pulled a prank on him by leaving a mess in his hotel room. Despite the prank, HS TikkyTokky remained focused on the task at hand, expressing confidence in his ability to defeat Fensom.

Gabriel Silva vs. Anthony Taylor

Gabriel Silva, the son of UFC legend Anderson Silva, faced Anthony Taylor in the co-main event.

The fight started with both fighters trading punches, but it was Taylor who landed the more impactful blows. Silva, however, was able to use his reach and movement to avoid much of Taylor's offense.

In the third round, Taylor landed a powerful right hand that sent Silva to the canvas. Silva was able to get back to his feet, but Taylor continued to pressure him and eventually forced the referee to stop the fight.

Danny Simpson vs. Danny Aarons

Former Premier League footballer Danny Simpson made his first-ever influencer boxing match against Danny Aarons as the main event for MF & DAZN X Series 17. The fight ultimately ended in a split draw.

The 37-year-old Simpson, who won the Premier League title with Leicester City back in 2016, faced a tough challenge against Aarons, another Englishman with a huge social media following. Even though they didn’t have much boxing experience, both fighters gave it their all and put on an exciting show.
