Strawweight MMA standout Lito Adiwang thinks Rodtang should follow Superlek's playbook if he hopes to come out on top in an inevitable clash with Takeru Segawa.

With Takeru coming out on top in his sophomore appearance inside the Circle at ONE Friday Fights 81, a long-awaited meeting with 'The Iron Man' appears to be all but guaranteed—so long as Rodtang takes care of business against Jacob Smith at ONE 169.

In a recent exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Adiwang offered his thoughts on what Rodtang should do when he goes toe-to-toe with the former three-division K-1 champion. Essentially, do what Superlek did. He said:

"When we watch his fight against Superlek—when Superlek is controlling the fight, he can’t throw anything," Adiwang said. "But if he finds his openings, his reads and combinations are excellent. You will also find it difficult to escape from his combinations."

Superlek secured a big win over Takeru at ONE 165 in Tokyo, besting 'The Natural Born Crusher' in an epic five-round war.

Rodtang meets Jacob Smith in world title rematch at ONE 169 on November 8

Before 'The Iron Man' meets Takeru on martial arts' biggest global stage, he'll have to put his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship on the line in a highly anticipated rematch on Friday, Nov. 8.

Emanating from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, ONE 169 will see four massive ONE world title fights—one of them being a sequel to Rodtang's 2022 victory over British star Jacob Smith.

Smith made his promotional debut at ONE 157 against Rodtang and ended up suffering one of the worst one-sided beatdowns in promotional history.

Battered and bloodied after three rounds of action, Smith was determined to fight his way back to another crack at 'The Iron Man.'

After a highlight-reel knockout against Walter Goncalves and a three-round war with Denis Puric, Smith has earned his opportunity to once again challenge 'The Iron Man' for his 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold.

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE 169: Malykhin vs. ‘Reug Reug’ live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, November 8 in U.S. primetime.
