Fans reacted to Israel Adesanya backing Jiri Prochazka's claims about Alex Pereira's "black magic."

Earlier this year, Prochazka and Pereira headlined UFC 303, with the latter looking to defend his light heavyweight title. The buildup to the entertaining matchup differed from most, as Prochazka challenged Pereira not to use magic or spells.

'Poatan' never denied Prochazka's claims about him using spiritual powers to benefit him in the Octagon. The bizarre story recently added another chapter, as Pereira's longtime rival, Israel Adesanya, had this to say during Joe Rogan's podcast, 'JRE MMA Show':

"You know what Jiri [Prochazka] said about the whole juju thing? That's real, that's real."

Adesanya's comments about Pereira were re-posted on Twitter, leading to various reactions from fans:

"Keep telling yourself that Izzy"
"Poatan is magic"
"Call me crazy but I used to think Pereira was using dark magic before Jiri even said it There’s something strange about Pereira, I can’t quite put my finger on it but my guts are telling me that I’m right"
"Excuses excuses excuses"

Israel Adesanya "definitely" wants rematch with Sean Strickland

Israel Adesanya has endured arguably the toughest chapter of his mixed martial arts career, as he's suffered back-to-back losses for the first time. 'The Last Stylebender' was shockingly dethroned of the UFC middleweight title by Sean Strickland before failing to regain his throne against Dricus du Plessis in August.

While talking to Joe Rogan, Adesanya was asked about potentially wanting to face Strickland in a rematch. The former UFC middleweight king responded by saying:

"Oh yeah, Strickland and DDP. Strickland one definitely because that fight wasn't me. Again, I don't make excuses... His time, let him have it, but I definitely know what I can do. I took his best shots."

At 35 years old, Israel Adesanya has begun facing questions from fans about how much gas is left in his tank. The Nigerian-born middleweight will likely make his highly-anticipated return against a top 185-pound contender in the first half of 2025, with a win needed now more than ever.
