Silvana Gomez Juarez is over the moon for getting the opportunity to fight Karolina Kowalkiewicz

During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Juarez shared that she was extremely happy to fight Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

The Argentinian stated that she hopes the UFC 281 fight with the MMA veteran will be her ticket to the strawweight rankings:

“I never imagined it was going to be in this card [UFC 281] that’s so spectacular and against this rival. When they offered me this opponent, I was delighted, and without any doubt, I said yes because of her experience and the name she has in the UFC... Juarez added that she used to closely observe the Polish national's career even before her time in the UFC:

"Before she even joined the UFC, I followed her fights because I really liked her style."

Both Kowalkiewicz and Juarez fought under Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki, better known as KSW, before their UFC debuts. While Karolina Kowalkiewicz is a former KSW flyweight champion, 'La Malvada' is also a former KSW flyweight title challenger.
