In episode #164 of the JRE MMA Show, Joe Rogan shocked Israel Adesanya by revealing details about the second assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The former champion was unable to believe that the incident hadn’t garnered widespread attention. Rogan explained further, recounting how a man armed with an AK-47 reportedly hid in the bushes for 12 hours before engaging in a shootout with the Secret Service:

"No, the Secret Service shot at him. He fled. I don’t think he shot at the Secret Service. He fled and then they caught him. So this is a guy who’s a real lunatic. He went over to Ukraine to fight for the Ukraine forces. It’s a crazy person. And this guy was somehow or another, armed to the t**s, even though it’s illegal for him to be carrying a gun. He’s a convicted felon. And he almost assassinated Trump."

What stunned 'The Last Stylebender' even more was how quickly the incident faded from the media spotlight. Rogan noted:

"And it was out of the news cycle in a couple of days.”

Joe Rogan questions media's role in fueling extremist actions against Donald Trump amidst elections

UFC commentator Joe Rogan speculated whether media rhetoric could influence violent acts against former President Donald Trump. Speaking to guest Shawn Ryan, Rogan suggested that repeated portrayals of Trump as a threat to democracy may inspire individuals to act on extremist beliefs.

Rogan remarked:

"Forget about the organization. Forget that there are people out there - probably like Iran and maybe state actors or who knows - that's trying to kill Trump. What about just the f**king general kooks that have been buying all this rhetoric everyday that he's a threat to democracy and they think that this is the one thing that can give them meaning in their life. The one great act that they can accomplish to go out and kill Trump."
