In Photos: What Sean O'Malley, Valentina Shevchenko, and others have been up to during UFC 306 fight week 

Noche UFC 306, a pay-per-view event built around the spirit of Mexican Independence Day, will go down on Sept. 14 at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Described as Dana White's love letter in tribute to Mexican fighters, the event features several fighters from the nation who are making strides in the world's premier MMA organization.

The event will be headlined by a bantamweight showdown between reigning champion Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili, while a women's flyweight championship clash between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko serves as the co-headliner.

Grasso, gearing up for her third fight against Shevchenko, took to Instagram to post several pictures from fight week. Meanwhile, 'Bullet', on the other hand, posted pictures of her in the zone immersed in training.

O'Malley posted pictures with his team and Dvalishvili seemed to be in good spirits on the media day. Several Mexican fighters, like Daniel Zellhuber, Diego Lopes, and Ronaldo Rodriguez embodied the spirit of Mexico in traditional embroidered garments, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of their country.

Sean O'Malley and Alexa Grasso talk about Noche UFC 306

Noche UFC 306 will go down on Sept. 14 at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Sean O'Malley and Alexa Grasso have the rare privilege of serving as the marquee attractions on the pay-per-view card.

Speaking about the opportunity in an interview with UFC, O'Malley said:

“It’s an honor to headline at Sphere... I think my work over the last seven years I’ve been in the UFC has kind of led me to this, and I’m very, very excited to put Merab’s lights out.I have no idea what to expect. I really don’t. I talked to production a little bit. I talked to Dana (White) and Hunter (Campbell) a little bit, and they tell me how crazy it’s going to be, and you can let your imagination kind of go with what that is. It’s going to be different.”

Meanwhile, Grasso is honored by the opportunity to fight in the colossal event. She said:

"It’s huge. Mexico is growing so fast in MMA. We always shine in combat sports, and I think that’s something great. The UFC loves how we fight. We always go forward. This means a lot. It just keeps me thinking that I have to train harder. I feel proud and honored to be there. I think the experience is going to be huge because I’ve been there. I went to watch a show, and it’s amazing. It’s breathtaking. Now knowing there will be MMA fights in there with that experience, with those images, it’s huge. It gives me chills. It’s amazing.”
