Valentina Shevchenko shared photos from her trip to Thailand featuring a combination of training and relaxation. In March 2023, Alexa Grasso shocked the world by submitting Shevchenko to become the new UFC women's flyweight champion.

Six months later, they met again inside the T-Mobile Arena for a rematch on Mexican Independence Day, which ended with Grasso retaining her title as the fight was ruled a split-decision draw.

Since then, Grasso and Shevchenko coached against each other on Season 32 of 'The Ultimate Fighter' foreshadowing a trilogy bout in the future. The show is currently airing new episodes weekly, while the world-class female flyweight fighters are grinding away in the gym to prepare for their inevitable meeting.

Shevchenko recently took to Instagram and posted various pictures of her in Thailand. Some images showed 'Bullet' training and others revealed the relaxation methods she's utilized to recover. The social media post was captioned:

"Island's life in Thailand #MuayThai #RainySeason #Thai"

Before fighting Alexa Grasso, Valentina Shevchenko was riding a nine-fight winning streak, including five inside the distance. The 36-year-old has solidified herself as one of the greatest female fighters of all time, but it'll be intriguing to see if she can avenge her loss against Grasso and regain UFC gold.

When are Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso fighting in a world title trilogy bout?

On September 14, UFC 306 goes down inside the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. Dana White has sparked massive expectations for the event, claiming history will be made from a production and entertainment standpoint.

Alexa Grasso vs Valentina Shevchenko 3 is expected to take place at the highly-anticipated event due to Grasso's Mexican roots. The only problem is that Shevchenko claims she doesn't want to fight on Mexican Independence Day again, as a controversial decision occurred last time they fought on the holiday.

Grasso claimed she would fight number two-ranked Manon Fiorot at UFC 306 if Shevchenko refused. Meanwhile, the UFC wants the trilogy bout to ensure another season of 'The Ultimate Fighter' doesn't start without the previous coaches fighting (Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler coached TUF 32).
