Megan Olivi pens a heartfelt birthday message to Joseph Benavidez

Megan Olivi's husband Joseph Benavidez turned 40 on July 31. Benavidez is well-known to longtime MMA fans, as he was a former UFC flyweight contender who challenged for the title four times in his career. He started his professional MMA career as a bantamweight and even challenged Dominick Cruz for the WEC 135-pound title.

The Team Alpha Male standout called it a career in 2021. He is regarded as an all-time great in the lower weight classes. Olivi has been married to Benavidez since 2015 and wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram on Benavidez's 40th birthday:

"Happy birthday to the very best person I’ve ever known, the love of my life @joejitsu. You bring so much joy to my life and to the lives of every single person you interact with. Rooms get brighter, moods get lifted and the world is a better place because of you and who you are."

She added:

"As you reflect upon the years that have passed, I hope you have tremendous pride in the direction you took your life in and the incredible things you have accomplished both personally and professionally. You are a legend and I hope you always remember that. All that said, I can’t wait for what’s to come."
