Former UFC featherweight champion recently posted a bunch of pictures on Instagram celebrating 18 years of marriage with his wife Vivianne Pereira. The Brazilian posted adorable pictures from their wedding day that charmed the fans.

Aldo married Perreira in 2006. His wife is a purple belt in jiu-jitsu and has fought twice professionally in Muay Thai. The pair have two kids and Pereira often posts pictures of the family on her Instagram handle.

The 37-year-old took to Instagram to post several pictures celebrating their union and love that stood the test of time. He captioned the post:

"That's 18 yrs of marriage! Back when everything was a bush! I Love You."

Aldo announced his retirement from the sport on September 18, 2022, the same day as the birth of his son. The Brazilian pursued several boxing bouts following that, including a clash against fellow ex-UFC fighter Jeremy Stephens.

However, earlier this year, Aldo came out of retirement to take on Jonathan Martinez at UFC 301. Vintage Aldo was on full display as the Brazilian tested the mettle of the young prospect and bagged a unanimous decision victory. Following the win, Aldo said in his post-fight press conference that he'd be willing to "skip the line" and challenge UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley for the title next.

When Cory Sandhagen voiced his disapproval over Jose Aldo skipping the line to fight for the title

Jose Aldo grabbed headlines following his victory over Jonathan Martinez at UFC 301. The Brazilian looked as sharp as ever against the then-No.12 ranked bantamweight contender who was on a six-fight win streak.

Following the win, Aldo claimed that his manager assured him they "can skip the line", and get in the title mix considering that he was "ranked" before he announced his retirement.

However, No.2 ranked contender Cory Sandhagen contested the notion claiming that there are "too many good guys" in the division. Speaking in an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Sandhagen stated:

"No way, I love Aldo, man. Aldo is the absolute man but you don’t get to comeback from retirement and then beat a guy way down in the rankings and then just fight for the belt like…There’s too many good guys in the division for that to be the case.”
