Dana White has made it clear on multiple occasions that he believes Jon Jones is the greatest fighter ever. He recently switched his stance, giving the label to former United States President Donald Trump.

Speaking to Brian Kilmeade of One Nation, the UFC CEO was asked where the 2024 Republican Presidential nominee ranks among fighters, responding:

"Number one. Number one. You take any of the greatest fighters of all-time, Trump is number one. The most resilient human being that I have ever met."

Fans shared their reactions to the comments from the promotional frontman. @Lizard69Talking expressed shock that White placed someone ahead of the heavyweight champion:

"That's wild, I never expected him to cheat on Jones."

@Kr1sp_353 referenced a line that White has used multiple times in the past:

"Put Trump and Jones Jones in a room. Jon Jones comes out every time"

@ZoreanKombie picked former United States President Abraham Lincoln, who was said to have been an elite wrestler, to pick up a first-round finish against Trump:

"Abe Lincoln knocks Don out cold in 1"

@IAmDarthMalgus believes his comments were disrespectful to fighters in the organization:

"Absolute class form Dana here, has people in his organization that have come up from less than nothing who have clawed and pushed their way to the ufc through favelas, gotten to the belt, but trump is the most resilient person he’s met, the guy born with silver in his mouth."

Dana White debates with media members about Jon Jones

Dana White has shared that he believes Jon Jones should hold the top spot in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings. He recently debated with media members about the heavyweight champion's status.

Speaking at his post-fight press conference following Dana White's Contender Series, the UFC CEO defended 'Bones' status, noting that he is recovering from an injury:

"He moved up and he fought Ciryl Gane and destroyed him in a weight class above him, who was the No.1 guy in the world - in the UFC. Then, we book another fight. He's training for the fight, blows his shoulder out - which means he's still active - gets surgery, recovering and is scheduled to fight in November. He is an active fighter."
