Jarred Brooks won't accept being compared to MMA rising star Mansur Malachiev.

Malachiev, one of the strongest Greco-wrestlers in the division, may have just secured his bid for world title glory when he scored a decisive victory over No.2-ranked opponent Bokang Masunyane at ONE Fight Night 25.

In the post-event interviews, the Russian called out the interim champion, Jarred Brooks, advising him to "stop talking" and face him.

Brooks has since responded to Malachiev in an interview with Sportskeeda MMA. So far, he seems unimpressed despite both sharing an affinity to wrestling.

"Everyone says we look alike, skill-wise. But we are not the same. I'm on a different level."

Jarred Brooks reclaimed the ONE interim belt in iconic fashion this past August at ONE Fight Night 24. The No.3-ranked contender Gustavo Balart didn't last a full round with 'The Monkey God,' and neither did Bokang Masunyane. Both men fell prey to Brooks' submission tactics within seconds.

Despite all the pageantry surrounding Brooks, he's the real deal. And just because he's now the interim champion, the American superstar is not one to stop himself from climbing the stairs of success, even if he unifies his belt against Joshua Pacio.
