Back in July 2021, UFC announced an official partnership with Crypto.com, which became the first cryptocurrency platform to partner with the MMA organization. The deal is reportedly worth $175 million, with Crypto.com signing a 10-year deal to be featured on the official fight kit.

Crypto.com has recently made headlines due to the collapse of FTX. FTX was a major competitor to Crypto.com in the cryptocurrency exchange industry. Many are worried that Crypto.com could face the same fate.

The company is currently partnered with many major organizations and companies, includinge FIFA World Cup 2022, Formula 1, PSG, and Serie A.

When announcing the partnership between the promotion and Crypto.com, Dana White was keen to point out that his organization is the biggest in combat sports. He suggested that the company could help Crypto.com become more mainstream:

"This is a partnership between two companies that are the best at what they do. No company has done more to grow the popularity of combat sports than UFC, and now we’re one of the biggest sports brands on the planet. We can help Crypto.com reach more people around the world through the strength of our brand."

Did the UFC partner with Meta after Mark Zuckerberg's Las Vegas appearance?

Yes. The MMA organization partnered with Meta to further explore the capabilities of the Metaverse. The social media company was given the authorization to showcase events available on UFC Fight Pass in virtual reality.

When announcing the partnership, Fight Pass vice-president Crowley Sullivan stated:

"We are excited to offer an unprecedented level of engagement for Fight Pass subscribers and MMA fans around the world by producing a live MMA event in virtual reality."

The Metaverse is yet to host an official UFC event in virtual reality. But with the industry growing day by day, it would seem likely that we will see this happen sooner rather than later. Mark Zuckerberg is also known to be an avid MMA fan, so the Meta CEO is also likely to be keen on bringing the organization's biggest fights into the virtual world.
