Daniel Cormier believes Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov’s rivalry is far from over

Daniel Cormier has shared his opinion on the longstanding rivalry between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, suggesting that a resolution may be unlikely.

The two fighters have been engaged in a bitter feud since 2018, which culminated in a chaotic brawl following their UFC 229 bout. Despite the passage of time, their animosity towards each other appears to remain strong.

Cormier believes that the rivalry is too deeply rooted for the two fighters to ever reconcile. He suggested that the closest thing to a resolution would be for McGregor to defeat Michael Chandler and earn a championship fight against Islam Makhachev, Nurmagomedov's successor as the UFC lightweight champion.

'DC' said:

"No. They are not letting it go [their rivalry]. It's deep rooted. They don't like each other. It's deep. It's very deep. I think the closest thing you could get to resolution in that is Conor beating Mike [Chandler] and earning a championship fight against Islam Makhachev."
