In just one week's time, Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler will collide in the octagon for what could be the most entertaining fight of the year. However, fellow UFC lightweight Mateusz Gamrot expects an easy victory for the No.2-ranked Poirier.
The European suffered his second loss in the UFC after a three-round war with Beneil Dariush. Both men put on a show in a bout that arguably should have elevated the winner into title contention, but it looks like Alexander Volkanovski will be next in line for the 155lbs throne instead.
While discussing the clash between Poirier and Chandler on James Lynch's MMA Pros Pick, Gamrot insisted that 'The Diamond' is "too good everywhere" and is predicting an easy win for the Louisiana native:
"I don't see how Chandler can beat Poirier. For sure, I think Dustin is gonna win. He's too smart, too fast, and too good everywhere than Chandler. For me, Dustin Poirier should win easily."
Last time out, Chandler delivered one of the greatest-ever knockouts in UFC history when he connected with a perfectly timed front kick to finish Tony Ferguson early into the second round. The win ended his two-fight skid and he will be hoping to add another notch to his belt when he returns to the octagon on November 12.
Meanwhile, Poirier will be looking to put his loss to Charles Oliveira behind him and force himself back into the winner's circle. Before losing to the Brazilian, the 33-year-old looked to be in the form of his life after beating Conor McGregor twice last year.

Why did Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler's relationship grow sour?
Though once cordial, Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler have seemingly grown a disdain for one another and have let each other know their feelings during the entire build-up to their fight.
When 'Iron' joined the UFC and went on to finish Dan Hooker in the first round, he was shot into the title picture and was gifted the opportunity to fight for the vacant 155lbs throne against Oliveira.
Poirier reportedly didn't like the push the former Bellator lightweight champion was being given by the UFC and refused to match up against the veteran, stating he'd "rather go and sell hot sauce" than take the fight.
