In a thrilling treat for MMA fans around the world, Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones, and Ciryl Gane have joined forces for a new Netflix original mixed martial arts series called 'The Cage'.

The show created by Sylvain Caron and Franck Gastambide follows a young Frenchman, Taylor, who dreams of becoming a professional fighter. Per IMBD, the story deals with Taylor landing a monumental opportunity in the big leagues following an unexpected encounter.

Earlier today, St-Pierre posted the trailer of the show on X, stating how passionate he was about the project. The trailer shows major characters alongside Gane, Jones, and 'GSP' himself. St-Pierre wrote:

"We've poured our hearts and souls into this, and it's almost time to unveil it to the world! Stay tuned."

Check out the trailer featuring Jon Jones, Georges St-Pierre and Ciryl Gane below:

It is yet unclear if the UFC stars will have a substantial role in the series or if their involvement will be limited to cameos. However, it is clear that the fighters contribute to impactful moments on the show.

In the trailer, Taylor, played by French actor Melvin Boomer, is seen making some cheeky comments about St-Pierre's statue in Saint-Isidore before training with the UFC legend.

Gane is featured in a few scenes sparring with the series lead. Perhaps one of the best moments of the trailer comes when 'Bones' gives an inspiring pep talk to Taylor, urging him to follow his dreams.

Per IMDB, the series which will have five episodes in its first season will premiere on Nov. 8.

Jon Jones always had his eyes on Hollywood

It looks like Jon Jones envisions following in the footsteps of other combat sports legends who made it big in Hollywood. However, he will not do it at the peril of his fighting career.

In a 2014 interview with Fox Sports, Jones' former manager Malki Kawa stated that his client was already getting movie offers but had not been able to commit to any of them owing to his busy MMA schedule.

Furthermore, speaking to MMA Junkie in 2013, 'Bones' stated that he would be modeling his acting career after Dwayne Johnson once his fighting days were done:

"I'd like to model my acting career on Dwayne Johnson, the way he came out of [WWE] and started off tough guy roles and then moved over to doing 'Tooth Fairy'... So I know I'd love to model my career after him."
