Frank Warren has fired back at fellow promoter Ben Shalom for his claims about Fabio Wardley's gloves, who works with Warren after Wardley knocked out Shalom's fighter Frazer Clarke.

Wardley and Clarke faced off on the undercard for Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol on Oct. 12. The 29-year-old secured a brutal knockout win in Round 1. Following the bout, Shalom shared concerns over Wardley's gloves.

The gloves were a pair of customised Fly gloves, and while speaking to BetFred, the boxing promoter said the following:

"It’s something we’re looking very carefully at with our team, not just for big Frazer’s sake, but the fact that these customised gloves are being introduced, you have to look into it and see how they’re different."

His comments have caught the attention of the Queensbury Promotions founder. Warren was recently interviewed by BoxNation, where he said this:

"If there's something wrong with those gloves, then somebody's cheated. That's what [Shalom] is saying. And if somebody's cheated, that's worse than PEDs, tampering with gloves. It's outrageous, he's gonna have to make an apology to everybody... The Board did say today there is no investigation, nothing to investigate."

He continued:

"We'll be doing a bit more than [taking Shalom to the British Boxing Board]. You heard what he said... He's saying there is something wrong with the gloves. And we're responsible... We are the promoters, we're responsible for the event... "

Ben Shalom responds to Frank Warren's heated warning

Ben Shalom and Frank Warren are currently waged in a war of words following recent comments made by the Boxxer boxing promotion founder.

With Fabio Wardley scoring one of the most brutal KOs you'll see in heavyweight boxing against Frazer Clarke in their rematch, questions about Wardley's gloves were raised by Shalom.

With Warren having threatened legal action, the young boxing promoter was offered a chance to respond during a recent interview with Boxing Social. He said this:

"We've been given concerns, and as a promoter I get given concerns and I have to pass them on. I'm not the regulator, I don't decide... I'm not an expert on that side of things."

He continued:

"[Warren] is suing everyone, he sues everyone. He says he's going to, and that's what we've become accustomed to with Frank. He needs to relax."
