The inaugural UFC event in The Sphere attracted many outside viewers as many would expect with the promises Dana White made. Of the countless athletes in attendance, Rey Mysterio was in the building with his son, Dominik.

Mysterio received one of the loudest ovations when shown on the big screen given how much the MMA and WWE fanbases overlap. After the main event, White met Mysterio backstage where the two combat sports icons embraced.

Fans loved the interaction between White and Mysterio, with some calling it an "awesome moment."

Does Dana White work with the WWE?

Since late 2023, Dana White and the UFC have worked in close connection to the WWE under the TKO Group Holdings banner. The parent company, Endeavor, formed the group to unite the two companies.

However, even with the merger, the UFC and WWE are still separate entities and do not overlap. White has said he plans to work closer with the WWE but is not expected to co-promote or go beyond his current limits.

WWE is currently under the guidance of Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel and business executive Nick Khan following the departure of Vince McMahon.
