Fans have mixed reactions about Darren Till potentially transitioning to professional boxing.
After confirming he was released from his UFC contract, ‘The Gorilla’ teased his next move by posting boxing glove emojis on Twitter. As a result, some fans supported the possibility, while others questioned Till’s decision:

Darren Till teases a future return to the UFC
The MMA community made assumptions about Darren Till when he was removed from the UFC roster. Some questioned if his recent slump led to him being cut. It turns out Till requested to be released from his contract. ‘The Gorilla’ explained the situation and teased a potential return to the UFC on Twitter by saying:
“What’s happening everyone, Me, Dana & Hunter are still cool as fuck. I asked UFC 2 remove me just 2 sort some other shit for the foreseeable, They happily agreed to release me out of contract which I appreciate. I’m not going anywhere, got big plans to execute & I’ll be back.”
Till signed with the UFC in 2015 as a promising prospect with a record of 12-0. The Liverpool native had massive support from his home country, making him a must-see fighter after a few UFC fights. He won his promotional debut against Wendell Oliveira before his second fight ended with a majority draw against Nicolas Darby.
‘The Gorilla’ bounced back from the draw with four consecutive wins, earning a welterweight title shot against Tyron Woodley. He ended up being submitted by Woodley and then had his momentum diminished with losses against Jorge Masvidal, Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, and Dricus Du Plessis. Till’s last win was a split decision against Kelvin Gastelum in November 2019.
