Jamahal Hill recently shared his thoughts on Alex Pereira's victory over Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307 earlier this month and explained being unimpressed by the Brazilian's performance. 'Sweet Dreams' also addressed his yawning moment that went viral on social media after the fight.

Pereira defeated Rountree Jr. in a light heavyweight title fight at UFC 307 in Salt Lake City. Despite finding success in the first two rounds of the bout, Rountree Jr. couldn't keep up with Pereira's striking and lost the fight via fourth-round knockout. While many were impressed by Pereira's performance, Hill made it clear that he wasn't and yawned animatedly when the cameras panned to him in the stands.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the former light heavyweight champion explained why he wasn't happy with Pereira's showing and said:

"Nothing surprised me, it went exactly how I thought it was going to go... Nothing surprised me and nothing impressed me because that was a fight that he should've won probably more impressively than he did... Ultimately, Alex did what he was supposed to do."

Jamahal Hill addresses fan reaction to viral yawning video at UFC 307

In the same interview, Jamahal Hill explained yawning after Alex Pereira defeated Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307 and addressed getting bashed by fans online. Hill notably fought Pereira at the milestone UFC 300 event in April and suffered a first-round knockout against the Brazilian.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA, 'Sweet Dreams' was asked if he had to deal with any online backlash to his viral yawning video. Hill stated that he didn't take internet opinions seriously and said:

"Online's not real. I get treated great. Every time I meet a person face-to-face, it's nothing but love and respect, and admiration. Online is online... I scroll, I scroll, but for the most part, it kinda just washes off; for the most part." [3:06 mark]
