Controversial footage of Dana White on New Year's Eve appears to have affected the UFC's parent company, as there has been a 6% dip in Endeavor's shares since news broke of the incident.

White was captured arguing with his wife, who then slapped him before the UFC president slapped her twice himself. The incident took place at a nightclub in Cabo, Mexico.

The exact fallout from the incident is yet to be determined but one can imagine that both the UFC and Endeavor will suffer dearly. News of the drop in shares was reported by major news outlet CNBC.

In a statement made to TMZ in the aftermath of his domestic dispute, Dana White stated that the argument was 'fueled by alcohol'.

Endeavor will not be pleased with the UFC president's action. The media and entertainment company acquired a majority stake in the promotion in 2016 and bought the remainder of the company in 2021.

Dana White's influence within the UFC is undeniable and his presence in the company appears vital to its continued growth. UFC commentator and friend of the UFC president, Joe Rogan, stated that it was written into his contract that if White left the UFC, then so would he.

With cancel culture being so rife in today's society, one wonders if White could become the next celebrity to face the music.

John McCarthy disagrees with Dana White saying all the best fighters eventually come to the UFC

The recent event hosted on NYE by Rizin FF and Bellator MMA was a massive success and has stirred conversation about the lack of cross-promotion in MMA.

Dana White recently commented on whether or not the UFC would be interested in cross-promoting events with other MMA promotions. The UFC president stated that the best fighters would eventually be signed anyway, implying there was no need to involve other promotions in UFC events.

Former MMA referee and Bellator commentator 'Big' John McCarthy disagreed with White's sentiments and pointed to the UFC being unable to sign legendary MMA heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. The Russian famously refused to sign with the promotion despite being offered a tremendous sum of money in 2009.

On a recent episode of the Weighing In podcast, McCarthy said the following:

"Who was the person that Dana White wanted the most? [Fedor Emelianenko] Hello! And he never got him. So to sit there and say that, 'Oh the best are gonna end up [in the UFC] anyway.' Sorry, it's already been proven that that's not true."
