Darren Till seeks “real fight” against Nate Diaz to redeem boxing career following questionable stoppage in debut clash

Darren Till made his boxing debut in an exhibition clash against MMA fighter Mohammad Mutie at 'Social Knockout 3', held on June 6. The fight unfolded in chaotic fashion, as a blow to the back of Mutie's head in Round 2 saw him pause the action to complain to the referee.

The referee eventually called a stop to the fight, and the Scouser was awarded a TKO win due to his opponent opting to not continue the bout. However, the result did not sit well with Mutie, who began trading words with the former UFC fighter.

Tempers escalated to the point where Mutie charged at Till, inciting an all-out brawl in the ring. The chaos was eventually settled, with footage of the brawl going viral online.

But 'The Gorilla' was not the only former UFC fighter competing in boxing on July 6, as fan-favorites Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz went to war over 10 rounds, with Diaz walking away victorious via majority decision.

Following the conclusion of both boxing matches, Till took to Instagram to call for a clash with the Stockton native, and wrote this:

"Just thinking... Need a real boxing fight..."

Darren Till says Jake Paul is "scared" to fight him

Darren Till's boxing debut ended in chaos, but the former UFC title challenger has not been turned off by the unfortunate conclusion.

After being awarded a TKO victory over Muhammad Mutie, who chose to stop fighting after being struck to the back of the head, the Scouser was interviewed in the ring.

He took aim at a longtime rival Mike Perry, as well as Jake Paul and Till's countryman, Tommy Fury, labeling them all as "scared" to face him.

The 31-year old said:

"There's people I do really want to fight - Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, Mike Perry. They're all running, they're scared cowards. They do not want to fight me. I promise you, I swear to God. I am not a four-round, two-minute fighter. I'm an eight-round, three-minute fighter, and I will f**king decapitate them."

With 'The Gorilla' having parted ways with the UFC in February 2023, and his recent callouts of Nate Diaz as well as several others, it appears that he is eager to make the most of boxing's massive paydays compared to MMA.
