Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till has not taken kindly to a social media user who dismissed his chances of returning to the UFC. Till parted ways with the promotion earlier last year following a series of losses and is currently exploring options in the boxing world.

The scouser recently made his boxing debut with a TKO victory over Muhammad Mutie and has expressed interest in returning to the ring before the end of the year. However, Till hasn't ruled out a potential UFC comeback.

When a fan suggested that the UFC would not re-sign him, Till responded angrily, calling the user a "dumb motherf**ker." The former title challenger emphasized that he had recently discussed a potential return with UFC CEO Dana White.

“Oh have you spoke to Dana [White]? Shit my bad. The conversation me and him had a few months ago about me returning must of been a lie. Sorry mate. Forgot you knew that they won’t sign me again. Just tell me one thing though. How f**king stupid do you feel right now knowing you are a dumb motherf**ker saying things without substance?”

'The Gorilla's' UFC career was marked by impressive wins over Stephen Thompson and Donald Cerrone, but his recent losses and injuries led to his release. Despite the setbacks, the 31-year-old remains confident in his abilities and believes he can still compete at the highest level in MMA.

While talks of a potential Bare Knuckle FC fight against Mike Perry have circulated, no concrete plans have been finalized.

Darren Till's career arc in the UFC

Darren Till's UFC journey was a rollercoaster of highs and lows. The Liverpudlian made a strong debut in 2015, showcasing his striking prowess with a knockout win over Wendell de Oliveira Marques. Subsequent fights, including a thrilling draw with Nicolas Dalby, solidified his reputation as a rising star.

However, personal issues and injuries disrupted Till's momentum. Upon his return in 2017, he embarked on a winning streak, culminating in a spectacular knockout of Donald Cerrone. This victory catapulted him into the welterweight elite, earning a title shot against Tyron Woodley. Unfortunately, Till suffered his first career loss via submission.

Darren TIll was submitted by Tyron Woodley at UFC 228:

Despite setbacks against Jorge Masvidal and Robert Whittaker, Till decided to move up to middleweight. While he secured victories over Kelvin Gastelum, his career trajectory took a turn for the worse with losses to Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson, and Dricus du Plessis.

Ultimately, Till requested his release from the UFC in February 2023, bringing an end to his tumultuous yet captivating tenure in the promotion.
