Jiri Prochazka was recently found to be USADA's most tested athlete across all sports this year, despite the same, Daniel Cormier is of the opinion that the former light heavyweight champion should be tested more now that he's not competing.

According to the United States Anti-Doping Agency's (USADA) latest report, 'Denisa' was also the most drug-tested athlete across all sports with a whopping 62 samples in 2022.

Not surprisingly, Jiri Prochazka has expressed his frustration at the testing frequency in the past but expects it to be significantly lesser since vacating his title on account of suffering a sidelining shoulder injury.

However, Daniel Cormier does not think that should be the case. Speaking to Ben Askren on his YouTube channel, 'DC' iterated that fighters who are away from the limelight should be tested more considering the higher chances of steroid use.

"I'm saying, test him more, not more than sixty-five times that's excessive, but test him more when he's not the champ and he's not competing. Guys are more inclined to cheat when they're away from the spotlight."

Jiri Prochazka has been pushed to the sidelines as he recovers from a nasty shoulder injury that he suffered just before his canceled title defense against Glover Teixeira at UFC 282. After vacating his title as a consequence, he is expected to return to action late next year.

Jiri Prochazka claims USADA will be testing him less, says misunderstandings led to frequent visits

USADA tested 3,286 athletes across 72 different sports in 2022 and surprisingly, Jiri Prochazka was revealed to be the most-tested athlete with 62 samples provided this year.

While many fans have pondered upon the possible reasons for this substantially high number of tests, Prochazka recently came out to give his take on the issue and is certain that the agency will ease up on him.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, 'Denisa' was asked for his comments on why USADA tested him so much. The former light heavyweight champion stated:

"After I vacate the title, USADA [testing] is going down right now, so we're very glad with that. If they will hear that, thank you for that... Sometimes I did some mistakes with that [whereabouts] and there were a lot of misunderstandings, but now it's good."

After Jiri Prochazka vs. Glover Teixeira failed to materialize due to the Czech fighter's injury just before their bout at UFC 282, the promotion matched Jan Blachowicz up against Magomed Ankalaev for the title.

However, the light heavyweight title remains vacant due to the title fight ending in a draw. Teixeira is now expected to face Jamahal Hill for the belt at UFC 283, next year.
