UFC veterans Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen recently taunted each other, with the pair clashing over the form of their respective college football teams.

During the latest episode of the pair's Good Guy / Bad Guy show on YouTube, 'DC' appeared on camera wearing an Oklahoma State Cowboys t-shirt. The former UFC double champ previously attended Division I Oklahoma State University, eventually graduating with a degree in sociology.

During his time at college, Cormier dabbled in playing football but was primarily focused on his wrestling career.

Before the pair started discussing MMA, Sonnen immediately noticed Cormier's shirt and began talking about his college football team, the Oregon Ducks. Like Cormier, Sonnen also attended his team's University, also graduating with a degree in sociology.

'The American Gangster' then admitted he's not been keeping track of how the team is doing, but knows they just pulled off a big win over Ohio State Buckeyes. He said:

"I think that's your message to me [Cormier wearing a Cowboys shirt] don't talk wrestling, talk a little football. I'm a former Oregon Duck man, I don't know what we're ranked right now but we just took out Ohio State over the weekend and they were number two."

Cormier, unable to hide his jealousy, responded:

"Yeah they're good, they're really good. There's a lot of jealousy going on, on my end because my Cowboys are not very good but for once Chael, but me wearing this shirt shows I'm not jumping off the bandwagon, like I've been called sometimes, a bandwagon fan."

Chael Sonnen calls Conor McGregor potentially the "best fighter ever" in MMA history

Chael Sonnen recently caught the attention of the MMA community this week, after he made a bold claim about Conor McGregor's fighting talent and legacy.

Discussing the Irishman on his YouTube channel, Sonnen stated that 'The Notorious' fought at both featherweight and lightweight, two of the toughest divisions in the UFC. He also noted that McGregor once holding both the 145 and 155-pound titles simultaneously was one of the greatest achievements in the sport.

Sonnen said:

"I don't believe I'm going to get a debate by any reasonable fan that 145 [pounds] and 155 [pounds] are the most difficult weight classes in the sport. Not just the company UFC, but the entire industry... Conor was the champion of both divisions simultaneously. That's insane!... Conor McGregor has won so many world championships that he forgot one. Did you know he had a trademark on champ-champ?"
