Dana White tips his hat to Joe Rogan for his contributions to combat sports commentary: "F*ck all these guys"

Dana White has been with the UFC since 2001 when he was installed as the company's president. There aren't many people who are still with the company that have been around longer than the promotional frontman. Joe Rogan is one prominent member of the organization whose tenure precedes White, as the long-time color commentator initially joined the promotion in 1997.

The UFC CEO recently praised the world-renowned podcast host, labeling him as the best commentator in combat sports history. Speaking to Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer of the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast, White stated:

"I consider him the greatest to ever do it. F**k all these guys that have ever done any type of commentating on combat sports before this. Rogan is by far [the best].

"Every time you would see him on camera and he would be talking about the fights that night, you knew, you felt it in your f**king soul this guy was not a paid talking head. This motherf**ker loves this sh*t and this is 100%. It came through at every event that we did."

White later added:

"To go in and call fights is not easy to do. It’s very hard to do. Rogan came and right off the bat started doing it, and what was brilliant about Joe and why he was so instrumental in helping us build this sport, nobody was ever going to f**king understand the ground game.

"Rogan would walk you through in detail while it was happening, he would be one step ahead of the fighter actually as it was taking place, walking you through... and Rogan would f**king lay it out. We couldn’t have hired anybody else that would have done it."

Dana White added that the working relationship between him and Rogan was meant to be. He doubled down on his take that no combat sports broadcaster can compare to the UFC color commentator.

Dana White reveals plans to return to Dublin, Ireland

Dana White was recently in Dublin, Ireland, to support Callum Walsh as he defended his WBC Continental Americas super welterweight title against Przemysław Runowski. The UFC CEO was asked about a potential return to the nation, which the promotion has not visited since UFC Fight Night 76 in October 2015, responding:

"You know, it's funny, we were talking about that when we left the hotel today. You know, this arena right here, that fight [Conor McGregor vs. Diego Brandão] was one of the greatest events I've ever been to. When he won, everybody threw their beer up in the air, they were going crazy.

"It was raining beer for like three minutes in the arena and it was just so bad a**. It was an incredible night, incredible event and that was the beginning of the rise of Conor. The answer to your question is soon. We'll be back here soon."

Dana White was less committal when asked if the return to Ireland would come in 2025, claiming that it remains a possibility. The promotion has previously held three events in the nation.
