Dana White shares picture revealing gruesome injury to Brian Ortega's eye after hard-fought loss at Noche UFC 306

Dana White has given fans a fresh look at Brian Ortega following his war with Diego Lopes at Noche UFC 306 on Sept. 14. Their clash almost ended in the first minute of Round 1 after Lopes landed a huge combination that almost knocked his opponent out cold.

But the famous durability of 'T-City' was on full display as he clawed his way back into the fight minute by minute. But the Brazilian-born Mexican proved to be too much for Ortega, who continued absorbing massive strikers.

There was major visible damage to the left eye of the 34-year old, but the former title challenger was not deterred in the slightest. A powerful flurry by Lopes near the end of the final round saw the California native drop once again, adding more unwanted damage to Ortega's orbital area.

White took to Instagram to share an image of 'T-City' a few hours after his fight. The image was reposted to X by @mmamania, who wrote this:

Ortega has shared interest in moving to lightweight ahead of his fight at Noche UFC 306. It will be interesting to see where the former title challenger decides to go after suffering a tough loss.

Dana White reacts to Sean O'Malley's "flat" performance against Merab Dvalishvili

Noche UFC 306 saw Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili go head to head for the bantamweight title in the main event. Many expected the fight to be a classic 'striker versus grappler' matchup and the fight unfolded as such, with 'The Machine' employing a relentless wrestling-heavy gameplan.

'Sugar' was noticeably less active than usual during the fight. The elite striker struggled to find the timing needed to land powerful strikes in the hopes of knocking Dvalishvili out.

The 29-year old was dominated for nearly all five rounds, with the Georgian securing a unanimous decision win to become the new champion.

UFC CEO Dana White addressed the media following the event, where he reflected on O'Malley's performance:

"He looked flat, he didn't looked sharp, he didn't look crisp until the last round. He hurt [Dvalishvili] with that body shot, he knew he hurt him with the body shot. He kept going in and trying to finish. I looked at the punch stats, it's like 6 [total punches for O'Malley] in a couple of the rounds."
