UFC President Dana White has revealed plans to launch a new boxing promotion, marking a significant expansion of his business empire. White, who has long expressed interest in the sport, has been working behind the scenes to develop a strategy for his boxing venture.

Speaking to reporters following the latest episode of Contender Series, White said:

“I did my first fight in Ireland and we’ll start announcing stuff here [at the] beginning of 2025.”

The fight in Ireland was a matchup between Callum Walsh and Przemyslaw Runowski, which was streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. White and Walsh’s promoter Tom Loeffler have a longstanding relationship, and the event served as a test run for White’s boxing ambitions.

While White has not disclosed specific details about his new boxing promotion, he indicated his plans to take a different approach than traditional boxing promoters. The 55-year-old believes that there is room for innovation in the sport and that he can offer something unique to fans.

“I have a plan, I’m going to implement that plan and we’ll see how it works. We’ll see how this thing works. People have been talking about the demise of boxing for 30 years and we’re still here talking about boxing right now... I have always had an idea of how I thought it should be done.
