In anticipation of UFC 285's main event featuring Jon Jones, Dana White recently shared his thoughts on what he's most excited to see Jones demonstrate in the octagon. As a firm believer in the power of ring-rust, White expressed his hopefulness to witness Jones' comeback even better than before.

UFC president White went on to describe Jones as a "freak of an athlete," highlighting his impressive physical abilities that have earned him widespread recognition in the world of the UFC.

During a recent press conference ahead of UFC 285, Dana White expressed his excitement about Jon Jones' return to the octagon after a three-year hiatus. He shared his belief that Jones is an especially dangerous fighter when he takes time off from the sport and then returns.

According to White, Jones' past comebacks have proven his ability to bring an even greater level of intensity and skill to his fights, making him a formidable opponent for any competitor.

The 53-year-old promotion's president stated:

"I am a big believer in ring rust. But I also believe that Jon Jones is a freak of an athlete. All these things moving up to heavyweight, Ciryl Gane is a monster who moves like a middldweight and the list goes on and on. When you put all these things together in a box and stir it up, makes it the biggest heavyweight fight we have ever done."

Dana White recognizes that Jon Jones is a remarkable athlete, making him an unpredictable and formidable opponent. White also spoke highly of Gane, calling him a "monster" who moves with the agility of a middleweight fighter. When combined, all these factors create a unique and exciting matchup that promises to be a thrilling event for fans of the UFC.

Chael Sonnen calls Jon Jones chubby ahead of his clash against Ciryl Gane

Chael Sonnen, a former UFC fighter who has had a strained relationship with Jon Jones, recently shared his thoughts on Jones' physique leading up to UFC 285 as a heavyweight. Sonnen commented that Jones' current weight appears to be less than optimal for the heavyweight division and described him as appearing "chubby."

Chael Sonnen has expressed his desire to see Jon Jones looking physically ripped and shredded in the lead-up to UFC 285. He had hoped to see Jones display his vanity by showing off his muscular build. However, when asked about his weight, Jones declined to reveal it, stating that he wanted it to be a surprise for his opponent, Ciryl Gane, at the weigh-ins.

In response to this, Sonnen commented on Jones' secretive approach, suggesting that he may be using it as a psychological tactic to gain an advantage over Gane.

The former UFC light-heavyweight title challenger stated:

"We got a chubby Jon Jones. I was expecting a shredded Jones that would speak to the Vanity of Jones. I thought that was great, that had me interested. I don't know that I buy the rumour of 267 [lbs]. I think that 240 was a very good goal."

'The Bad Guy' further added:

"And when Jon came out and refused to tell us the weight... my thought was he fell short of his goal. He got to 240, he signed the contract. His coaches stepped in and they upped the training. And if I was to guess he's gonna be right around 240."
