Cody Garbrandt recently confirmed that his UFC contract will come to end as his upcoming contest against Miles Johns is the final bout on his current contract. The bout is scheduled to take place at UFC Vegas 100 on Nov. 9.
The former bantamweight champion has been a popular fighter throughout his career for his entertaining fighting style. Since returning to bantamweight in 2023, he has had his fair share of ups-and-downs and has gone 2-1 in his last three bouts. The 33-year-old most recently competed at UFC 300, where he was submitted by former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo.
It appears as though the stakes will be higher for 'No Love's next bout against Johns as he hopes to continue competing for the MMA leader. During his appearance on Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson's JAXXON PODCAST, Garbrandt mentioned that even though he hopes to re-sign with the UFC, money will factor into his decision:
"[Johns and I] were supposed to fight October 12th and then it got pushed to November 9th. [I'm] still going through some things with the UFC. It's my last fight on the contract, so gotta get together and see what we can come up with. I love the UFC, especially where the sport's going. I love mixed martial arts. UFC is the premier league fighting there, but money talks."

When did Cody Garbrandt win the UFC bantamweight championship?
Cody Garbrandt burst onto the scene and immediately achieved success in the UFC when he joined the promotion in 2015.
Garbrandt surged up the bantamweight division and earned a title shot against then champion Dominick Cruz at UFC 207 in December 2016. It was a spectacular performance by 'No Love' and saw him earn a unanimous decision win and become the new champion less than two years after debuting for the promotion.
