Belal Muhammad recently fired a witty dig at Kamaru Usman after 'The Nigerian Nightmare' delivered some sharp criticism his way. Both the fighters have been trading barbs ever since Muhammad toppled Leon Edwards at UFC 304 in July to seize the welterweight title.

As 'Remember the Name' embarked on his championship reign, he wasted no time addressing his critics, with Usman being a prime target. He chose a unique method to mock him, sharing an AI-generated diss track on X.

During a recent episode of the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Henry Cejudo, Usman fired back at Muhammad's trolling antics, particularly targeting the diss track his rival had created. He said:

"Imagine how I feel. I’m like, 'Who the f**k is that guy?' I didn’t know who this guy was a couple of years ago or last year, I didn’t hear his name. I don’t even remember his name. More power to Belal if that’s how he feels. He’s paying for someone to do a diss song or whatever; that song was as corny as can be."

Muhammad took to X to respond to Usman’s remarks, ridiculing both him and Cejudo for appearing shirtless during their podcast. He wrote:

"Ok, first things first, why are they both shirtless?"

The newly crowned UFC 170-pound champion went on to throw shade at Usman's recent losing streak. He posted:

"He’s on a three-fight losing streak, so he’s trying to get OnlyF*ns to sponsor him. I'm not that desperate yet."

'The Nigerian Nightmare' is enduring a three-fight losing skid, yet he has expressed strong interest in stepping up to challenge Muhammad for the next welterweight title.

Belal Muhammad highlights why Shavkat Rakhmonov is his preferred next opponent over Kamaru Usman

During a recent interview with Submission Radio, Belal Muhammad shared that had Kamaru Usman not been on a losing streak, he would have preferred making his first title defense against him.

However, 'Remember the Name' is now keen to showcase his abilities against an undefeated challenger like Shavkat Rakhmonov. He said:

"I think, for me, it would be one of those tests to prove people wrong, to shut them up. My last five or six fights, everybody thought I was gonna get killed, so he's [Rakhmonov] another guy where if I go out there and smash him, what is your excuse gonna be? If I go out there and I beat Usman, it's like, 'Well, he's on a three-fight losing streak, he's done, he has no knees, you just beat a bum.' But if I go out there and beat Shavkat, then nothing. He's undefeated, he has all the finishes, so that's the guy that I have my sights on."
