Conor McGregor made a sizable amount of money off of Argentina's big win and while her figure had fewer zeroes at the end, Alexa Grasso made some Copa America money as well.

The former two-division UFC champion made close to $1.4 million following his Argentina bet over the weekend. He also referenced his double champ status by stating Argentina would also get that distinction since they previously were World Cup champs. McGregor felt they would also be Copa America champions as well which ended up transpiring.

Grasso also posted some receipts to social media showing that she was able to earn a little coin from the action even in the wake of Argentina's star player Lionel Messi having to be taken off the field in the middle of the game. This came after sustaining an injury but the team still rallied to glory.

The UFC flyweight champion came close to tripling the money she put into the bet and was no doubt excited when Argentina scored a goal in extra time to beat Colombia in the finals.

Conor McGregor claims he'll return to the UFC in 2024

Also during his recent social media rounds, Conor McGregor stated that he will enter the octagon before the calendar year is out.

The Irish superstar turned 36 years old yesterday and he seems to have a lot to celebrate about even beyond his soccer cash earnings.

'The Notorious' took to his personal X account to state that he has met with UFC figurehead Dana White about rescheduling his fight with Michael Chandler that was initially set to transpire at the end of June. This McGregor vs. Chandler fight was to take place in the welterweight ranks as the initially slated headliner for UFC 303 during the company's international fight week proceedings.

The June 29 contest was scrapped as a result of McGregor sustaining an injury to his toe that resulted in the Dublin native withdrawing from his first-ever UFC fight. The former featherweight and lightweight champion in the company has not fought in the UFC for three years but his return is seemingly looming.

Though he did not offer specifics, McGregor mentioned to Michael Chandler directly that a productive conversation was held with White. The talk was centered on rebooking their UFC 303 fight for later on in the year.
