Fallon Fox, the first openly transgender female fighter, previously confirmed that she had only broken the skull of one opponent, despite accusations of multiple instances.

Fox has been surrounded by controversy since making her MMA debut in 2012, with some members of the MMA community criticizing the Florida State Athletic Commission for granting her a license to compete. She has since amassed a professional record of 5-1, with her last victory coming in 2014.

Internet personality and M.D. Dr. Anatasia Loupis recently addressed Fallon Fox on Twitter. Loupis disagreed with Fox being awarded the "Bravest Athlete" in 2020, suggesting that the 47-year-old shouldn't be celebrated for breaking the skulls of two women because 'The Queen of Swords' was born male. She wrote:

"Fallon Fox, a transgender MMA fighter, has now broken 2 female opponent's skulls. A man beating on women and named "Bravest Athlete" in 2020. The hate for women is real."

Fox hit back at her critics in 2020, stating that she in fact only broke the skull of one of her opponents, not two. Fox's tweet was also met with controversy after claiming that she loved fighting transphobic people.

The now-deleted tweet read:

"For the record, I knocked two out. One woman’s skull was fractured, the other not. And just so you know, I enjoyed it. See, I love smacking up TEFS (sic) in the cage who talk transphobic nonsense. It’s bliss!"

What opponent who suffered fractured skull had to say about facing Fallon Fox in 2014?

In 2014, Fallon Fox faced Tamikka Brents at CCCW (Capital City Cage Wars) in a women's featherweight bout.

Fox dominated the infamous bout from the beginning, bloodying her opponent immediately before ending the fight via a brutal TKO just two minutes into the first round. It was later revealed that Brents had suffered a fractured skull and a concussion as a result of the beating by 'The Queen of Swords', which required multiple stapes in her head.

Tamikka Brents spoke to WhoaTV after the fight and suggested the strength mismatch between her and Fox was the biggest difference she had felt throughout her career.

“I’ve fought a lot of women and have never felt the strength that I felt in a fight as I did that night. I can’t answer whether it’s because she was born a man or not because I’m not a doctor. I can only say, I’ve never felt so overpowered ever in my life and I am an abnormally strong female in my own right. Her grip was different, I could usually move around in the clinch against other females but couldn’t move at all in Fox’s clinch."
