The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 has begun, and the lineup of matches is already getting intriguing. On Saturday, October 19, the Puneri Paltan and the Haryana Steelers will get down to business at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, giving fans a repeat of last season's electric final.
Pune are undoubtedly the powerhouse going into the match, as they look to achieve the rare feat of a team defending their title in the league. The Paltan, coached by BC Ramesh, field a team with immense depth, guaranteeing a thrilling showdown whenever they're on the mat.
Aslam Inamdar will lead the Paltan. The all-rounder who played a crucial role in leading the team to the trophy last season. Joining Inamdar as the strongholds of Pune on the offense and defense will be Mohit Goyat and Gaurav Khatri, respectively. Goyat claimed an impressive 122 points as a raider last season, while Khatri excelled as a defender with 69 tackle points.
On the other hand, the Haryana Steelers will be amongst those to watch out for this PKL season. They were the dark horses last time around, and their run to the summit clash thrust them into the spotlight.
As the Steelers look to capitalize on Season 10's momentum, their biggest weapon will be Iranian all-rounder Mohammad Reza Shadloui. He played a pivotal part in Pune’s title run in March, and will now go up against his former teammates in a match that promises to thrill.

PKL 2024: Puneri Paltan vs Haryana Steelers prediction
Puneri Paltan remains the overwhelming favorites for the win. The defending champions have triumphed in nine of their 15 encounters against the Steelers, including their last clash. While the Paltan will no doubt have to earn their win, it looks unlikely that Haryana will be able to start their season with a victory.
