After an enthralling record 10th edition, the Pro Kabaddi action is back, all set for the 11th season to kick start soon.
The 10th season saw the Puneri Paltan beat the Haryana Steelers in the final to clinch their maiden Pro Kabaddi trophy. They will be keen to defend their title as all teams will be eager to battle it out on the mat once again, aiming for glory.
The dates for the auction have been announced as well. Teams will be looking forward to strengthening their line-ups and getting the right combination ahead of the season. With the Pro Kabaddi 2024 auction to take place on August 15 and 16, teams have already made a few additions to their squads via the New Young Player (NYP) category.
It will be interesting to see who the coaches will have an eye on and which players will garner major attraction from all teams at the auction table.
Several players emerging from the domestic circuit, playing in leagues such as the K7 Kabaddi League, Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League, Yuva Kabaddi Series, and other tournaments get an opportunity to showcase their talent and learn from the best in the business.
The Bengaluru Bulls have made four NYP signings ahead of the 2024 season. Similarly, the Patna Pirates and the Jaipur Pink Panthers have also signed four NYP players.
The Haryana Steelers, Telugu Titans, Bengal Warriors, UP Yoddhas, and U Mumba have also added four NYP players each to their squads before the auction.
The Tamil Thalaivas have signed three NYP players while Dabang Delhi have made only two NYP additions.
Interestingly, the Gujarat Giants have not signed any NYP players. Defending champions Puneri Paltan have also not made any NYP picks this time around.
