The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is gearing up for its 11th season, with the much-anticipated player auction set for August 15 and 16. Following the thrilling conclusion of Season 10, fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the new season, potentially kicking off in October.

As teams prepare for another round of intense kabaddi action, several head coaches are set to continue their tenure with their respective teams. Puneri Paltan, after beating Haryana Steelers in the final last season, are the defending champions.

Here's a comprehensive list of the head coaches who will remain at the helm for PKL 11.

#1 Ram Mehar Singh - Gujarat Giants

Ram Mehar Singh, renowned for his strategic acumen, has been retained by the Gujarat Giants for Season 11. Having previously coached the Indian kabaddi team from 2009 to 2014, he led the Patna Pirates to victory in PKL Season 5. Appointed as the head coach of the Giants ahead of Season 9, Ram Mehar had a significant impact, guiding the team to the playoffs in Season 10 despite some challenging games. His motivational skills and in-game strategy discussions have been crucial to the team's success.


#2 Manpreet Singh - Haryana Steelers

Manpreet Singh, a former player who retired in 2015, has made a name for himself as a coach. After leading the Gujarat Fortune Giants to two runner-up finishes, he took charge of the Haryana Steelers. Under his guidance, the Steelers rebounded from an initial defeat to qualify for the playoffs in Season 10, narrowly losing the final to Puneri Paltan. Manpreet Singh will continue to steer the Steelers in Season 11.


#3 Sanjeev Baliyan - Jaipur Pink Panthers

An Arjuna Award winner, Sanjeev Baliyan has a stellar coaching record, having led the Patna Pirates to a PKL title in Season 3 and the Jaipur Pink Panthers to their second title in Season 9. His leadership saw the Pink Panthers finish second in the league stage of Season 10, ultimately reaching the semi-finals. Baliyan will continue as the head coach of Jaipur Pink Panthers in Season 11.


#4 Narender Redhu - Patna Pirates

Despite being relatively young in the coaching circuit, Narender Redhu has ample experience, having coached teams to gold medals in international tournaments. As the head coach of Patna Pirates in Season 10, he led the team to the playoffs, although they fell short in the semi-finals. Narender Redhu will remain the head coach of Patna Pirates for Season 11.

A distinguished coach, BC Ramesh has won multiple PKL titles, including as an assistant coach with Bengaluru Bulls and as head coach of the Bengal Warriors. He led Puneri Paltan to their first PKL title in Season 10, making him the most successful coach in PKL history. Ramesh will continue to lead the Puneri Paltan in Season 11.


#6 Jasveer Singh - UP Yoddhas

Jasveer Singh began his coaching career with UP Yoddhas after retiring from the Army. In his first season, he guided the team to the playoffs. Although the Yoddhas had a disappointing Season 10, finishing 11th, Jasveer Singh will continue as their head coach for Season 11, aiming for a strong comeback.


#7 Gholamreza Mazarandani - U Mumba

The only foreign coach in the PKL, Gholamreza Mazarandani has a notable coaching career with the Iran national team and U Mumba. Despite U Mumba's struggles in Season 10, finishing 10th, Mazarandani aims to build a long-term association with the team and will continue as their head coach in Season 11.


#8 Randhir Singh - Bengaluru Bulls

Randhir Singh has been the head coach of Bengaluru Bulls since the inception of the PKL. He led the team to their first title in Season 6 and has a history of finding young talents across India. Although the Bulls narrowly missed the playoffs in Season 10, finishing 8th, Randhir Singh will remain as their head coach for Season 11.
