On Saturday, July 20, Lucknow Lions, Awadh Ramdhoots, Yamunda Yodhas, and Sangam Challengers won on the 10th day of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPL) 2024.
Lucknow Lions, who are ranked at the top, defeated Kashi Kings 34-28 to secure their 10th consecutive victory in the 38th match. Shubham Kumar led the raiding department with nine points followed by Arjun Deshwal with six. Nitin Panwar and Mohd Amaan earned three points each.
Sangam Challengers registered their seventh win, third in a row, against Brij Stars (36-29) to retain their second position with 36 points. Abhijeet Malik secured 12 raid points from 12 successful raids while raider Mayank Malik claimed a High-Five from four fair tackles.
Yamuna Yodhas, despite a 37-29 win over Noida Ninjas, remain third in the points table with 33 points. Vinay was the star raider for the Yodhas with nine points while Shubham Kumar earned four tackle points.
Similarly, Kashi Kings also retained their fourth position with five wins and as many losses. They suffered their fifth loss in the previous game against Lucknow Lions.
Awadh Ramdoots jumped from sixth to fifth spot, having won four out of their 10 games, including the most recent one against Ganga Kings of Mirzapur 39-38. Abhishek Singh was the hero for Ramdoots with a Super-10 while Ashish Bhati earned nine raid points and Ashish Nagar executed three successful tackles, including one Super tackle.
Brij Stars moved to sixth, losing six out of their seven games. Sangam Challengers defeated them in the last game by a 36-29 margin. Robin Chaudhary and Vikrant Chaudhary earned eight points each while Harsh Dhaka secured four tackle points.
Noida Ninjas suffered their seventh loss against Yodhas to retain their seventh spot with three wins and 19 points in their account.
Ganga Kings of Mirzapur continue languishing at the bottom of the points table with nine losses in 10 games, including the previous game against Ramdoots.
