The countdown has begun as the first edition of the Indian Premier Kabaddi League is set to kick off on October 4 at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana.
Indian kabaddi player Sandeep Kandola will lead the Punjab Paltan in IPKL 2024. He will be the vital cog for the Punjab-based club, having played in the Pro Kabaddi League for three seasons.
Sandeep made his PKL debut in 2015 during the second edition of the league with the Telugu Titans. He bagged 70 points (11 raid points and 59 tackle points) from 16 encounters to make a name for himself in the league.
However, he returned to PKL after six long years, joining the Telugu Titans once again for PKL Season 8. In his second stint with the club, Sandeep earned 42 tackle points from 16 matches.
He was roped in by the Gujarat Giants in the following year. The left corner could manage only six tackle points from 14 matches in the season and thus was not retained by the franchise.
Overall, the Indian defender has 118 points (107 tackle points and 11 raid points) from 46 outings across three seasons in the Pro Kabaddi League.
Parvesh Hooda is a national-level kabaddi player. He also competed in the Real Kabaddi League last year and will play an important role for his club.
