Indian Kabaddi fans expressed their excitement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after Bengaluru Bulls bought seasoned raider Pardeep Narwal in the PKL 2024 auction. The Bulls' successful bid worth Rs. 70 lakh on the first day of the auction in Mumbai marks a homecoming for Narwal after nearly a decade.

The bidding war between Bengaluru Bulls and U Mumba was intense, with the latter eventually bowing out, allowing the Bulls to reunite with the three-time PKL champion.

Narwal, who has earned the moniker "Dubki King" for his incredible raiding skills, first made his mark with Patna Pirates, where he played a pivotal role in leading the team to three consecutive PKL titles during his five-season stint. However, after moving to UP Yoddhas in Season 8, Narwal's performances began to wane.

Kabaddi fans took to Twitter to share their joy as Narwal returns to the Bengaluru Bulls.

"From where it all started in ProKabbadi, Pardeep Narwal is back in Bulls. King of Kabbadi in Bengaluru bulls," wrote one fan.
"This Pardeep Narwal comeback to Bulls is equal to Ronaldo coming back to United," added another.
"Pardeep Narwal homecoming Bengaluru Bulls," wrote a fan and shared a humourous video.
"Dubki King is returning to a known kingdom," added another.
"Thank you Randhir sir and Bengaluru bulls for allowing us to see G.O.A.T of kabaadi once again on the Mat," wrote a fan.
"Pardeep you are a gem player and the team Bengaluru has always legendary players Now it's High time for comeback," claimed another one.

Will Pardeep Narwal bounce back to his best form in PKL Season 11?

Over the years, Narwal has become a fan favorite, amassing the most points in PKL history and leaving an indelible mark on the league.

However, the last few seasons have seen a noticeable decline in his form. His recent stint with the UP Yoddhas have been underwhelming, with Narwal failing to break into the top five raiders in terms of raid points.

In the 2023 season, Narwal managed only 122 points in 17 matches, a stark contrast to his glory days with Patna Pirates, where he consistently delivered Super 10s. His highest-scoring season was 2017, where he racked up an impressive 369 points. By comparison, his recent performances have been disappointing, leading to his release by UP Yoddhas ahead of the auction.

As Narwal prepares for his second stint with Bengaluru Bulls, the question on everyone's mind is whether he can regain the form that once made him the most feared raider in the league.

His decline in recent years has left many fans concerned, and his acquisition by the Bulls is seen as a gamble. Yet, for a player of Narwal's caliber, the potential for a resurgence is always within reach.
