Video: South Korea and Holland win quarter-final matches

The Netherlands will meet New Zealand in the semi-final’s of the FIH Hockey World League after the Dutch women had an impressive 8-1 win over India in Rotterdam on Tuesday (18th June).

South Korea edged out Belgium 2-1 on Tuesday (18th June) to earn semi-final spot in the FIH Hockey World League.

South Korea, eighth in the World Rankings, took on Belgium in the quarter-finals of the FIH Hockey World League in Rotterdam on Tuesday.

Barbara Nelen openied the scoring for Belgium in the first minute of the contest.

Mi Hyun Park put in the equaliser for Korea in the 14th minute and following a video review – it was deemed valid.

Five minutes later Korea took the lead when Jong Eun Kim nudged in the ball for another unorthodox goal.

It ended 2-1 to Korea, who will take on fifth-ranked Germany in their semi-final.

Eslewhere the Dutch women notched up an impressive 8-1 win over India, to book a semi-final meeting with India.

Eva De Goede scored the fifth goal from a penalty corner before added her second of the game in the last minut, again from a penalty corner, to bring the final score to 8-1.
