With all the controversies regarding commonwealth games held in New Delhi , INDIA
there was one thing I will always remember it for , making a cricket lover like me fall in
love with hockey.
The match was INDIA vs MALAYSIA.
I had never been to the stadium before , so going to one to watch the Indian men live in
action was something I was excited about.
So as the match begun my friend and I had begun to enjoy the game because of the sheer
skills which were on display but more importantly the fans along with us who kept
updating us about the players.
now as the match progressed and goals been scored. We shouted at top of our voices till
our voices went sore.
Now the moment which actually made me fall in love with the game was when India was
was a goal behind MALAYSIA with only 15min to go everyone in the stadium was quiet
as malaysian men made raids after raids into the Indian circle we all had lost hope when
suddenly out of nowhere India scored.
The Indian men on the field were dominating the Malaysian team and then just with
about 5mins to go India scored again to take the lead.
After the hooter was sounded the scoreline read 3-2 and the energy in the stadium
reached peak high and as my friend and I walked back from the stadium we could see people
dancing and singing and if I had seen guys like those anywhere outside I would have
avoided them cause were dancing like crazy but at that moment I joined them ,
and my affair with hockey had begun.
