The South Korea’s women’s hockey team would feature in a four-match Test series against Australia later this month. The red brigade would play all its matches at the Perth Hockey Stadium in Perth.

The first hockey Test would be played on April 24 at 5:30 pm local time with the second Test scheduled the next day at 5:30 pm.

The third South Korea-Australia hockey Test would be played on April 27th at 2:00 pm local time. The fourth and final hockey Test would be held the next day at 2:00 pm local time.

The South Korea-Australia women’s hockey Test series comes ahead of a similar four-match hockey Test series between the Australian and South Korean men slated to be early next month.

The Australia-South Korea men’s four-match hockey Test series would also be played at the Perth Hockey Stadium from May 4-9.

It may be worth mentioning here that the South Korean women’s hockey team is currently taking part in a two-leg Four Nations hockey tournament in New Zealand.

Besides South Korea, the two-leg tourney also features hosts New Zealand, world champions Argentina and the United States.

The Koreans put up a good showing in the first leg held at the ITM Hockey Centre in Whangarei.

The Asian powerhouse stunned hosts New Zealand 4-3 in the tournament opener before surprisingly going down 1-2 to the United States.

They, however, pick up the pieces quickly and dished out a splendid performance against Olympic silver medallists Argentina, sneaking out a narrow 4-3 win to shut the South Americans from the final showdown.

South Korea cut a disappointing day in office in the final against New Zealand. The Black Sticks women never allowed the Koreans to play their natural fast-paced game and controlled possession for most part to emerge clinical 3-0 winners.

South Korea have been well served by experienced Mi Hyun Park.

The team’s most capped player has lived to her billing – Park has not only creating scoring chances but also sounded the board as well to ensure her side stays competitive against higher ranked sides like New Zealand and Argentina.

Park scored once in her side’s 4-3 win over the Black Sticks before again rattling the cage against Argentina.

She has received strong support from Da Rae Kim who scored twice against New Zealand. Da scored again in their win over Argentina.
