India wins the series against Canada

India has won 2 out of the four test matches played against Canada in recently concluded tournament 2-0. After winning the first test 2-1 Indian women’s had drawn the second test 1-1. Captain Surinder Kaur scored the first goal for the team. Surinder Kaur has had a great tournament and she finished her tally with 6 goals in four matches.

India had won third game 4-1 in which Surinder Kaur scored 2 goals and other two goals were scored by Jasjeet Kaur Handa and Rani Rampal.

While the fourth test was drawn 2-2.

Indian women team will now go to Germany to participate in four nation tournament from June 25. Indian team will compete against Australia, Germany and Ireland in this tournament.

Forward line of India has had a great tournament, and they had earned many penalty corners, but defense is a worry because the team also conceded few goals in the tournament against Canada. Now there is a big test in the four nations tournaments because they have to face the best teams like Germany Australia.

Surinder Kaur has shown class and acted as a good captain in the tournament. She scored 6 goals in the test series. Now she has to carry that form in the four nation tournament has well.
