52-year-old Princess Kalina of Bulgaria reveals insane workout routine - “I pull 70 kilos of back”

Princess Kalina is a member of the Bulgarian royal family and was married to Kitin Munoz, a Spanish sea navigator and explorer and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. Kalina is 52 years old and despite her age, she still actively participates in her royal duties and also for her dedication to fitness and health.

In an interview with Spanish magazine Hola, she stated:

"I don't feel well without training. It's about staying healthy and feeling good... I pull 70 kilos of back."

Kalina was recently seen in public along with his husband at the ceremonial burial of King Ferdinand I at the Wrana Palace in Sofia. She showed an impressive physique while wearing a sleeveless dress that showed off her muscular shoulders and arms.


What is Princess Kalina's workout routine?

Princess Kalina's workout routine is an intense one that is designed to maintain her health and fitness all around. She mixes cardio and weight training on specific days to allocate in her different parts of the body.

Schedule and target parts of the body (via the Times of India):

  • Monday & Thursday: Abs, Leg, Back, Triceps, and Glutes
  • Tuesday & Friday: Abs, Pectorals, Shoulder, Biceps, and Glutes
  • Wednesday & Saturday: Run for 30 minutes. Do four sets of 12 reps; back pull with 70 kilos on the back, 30 kilos for shoulder- 15 kilos in each hand with dumbells, and 20 kilos of biceps curls.

She also stated that she walks fours every day, and engages in snow skis, kitesurfs, and horse riding.

Kalina's involvement in fitness is nothing new since she started her journey over two decades and sports has been part of her life ever since. When he met her husband Kitin, her lifestyle impacted her well when he started to join her training.

Apart from her workout routine, Kalina also highlighted health and believed in a balanced approach that includes proper nutrition, mental state, and regular exercise.

"Good nutrition, eight hours of sleep, and good training are the keys to a healthy lifestyle and being in shape," she said on Hola.

Kalina's fitness journey is not all about her achievement but rather about inspiring others to lead a healthier life regardless of age or physical condition.

"The key, like almost everything in life, is consistency. But you have to do it right," she added.
