At the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, Scotland native Robert MacIntyre has put himself in a good position to win the competition. After three rounds of golf at The Renaissance Golf Club, MacIntyre finds himself in second place with a score of 15-under. The Scotsman is trailing Ludvig Aberg who is in first place with a score of 17-under.

After the conclusion of Round 3, MacIntyre posted an image of himself and told his fans he would catch them the next day. He wrote:

"Good night @ScottishOpen Catch you all tomorrow"

This post by MacIntyre led to declarations of support from golf fans. In the comment section of the post, fans were rooting for the hometown favorite. One fan in particular had a compliment for MacIntyre. He wrote:

"C’mon Bob! Get after it. Have fun. You’re already a hero."

If MacIntyre is able to win the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, it will be his second victory on the PGA Tour this season. Earlier this season, MacIntyre scored 64-66-66-68 to win the RBC Canadian Open.
