The organizers at the Shriners Children's Open were forced to close the gate for fans on Friday, October 18, as the winds grew heavier. However, fans will most likely be allowed on Saturday, October 19, if the winds don't play spoilsport on Day 3 of the event.

The Shriners Children's Open is the fourth of eight FedEx Cup Fall events. The event teed off on Thursday, October 17, but both days were affected by strong winds. However, conditions became more severe on Friday, and play began after a four-hour delay. Fans were evacuated, and all action on Day 2 took place without fan attendance.

The official announcement from the PGA Tour stated that fans wouldn't be allowed until further notice. However, the statement also indicated that tickets for Friday would be honored on Saturday.

Speaking of the weather, the conditions are expected to improve significantly at TPC Summerlin on Day 3. The sky will remain clear, and the wind speed will slow down as the day progresses.
