Webb Simpson has an overall record of 4-4-1 at the Ryder Cup. He was recently chosen as the first vice-captain of Team USA by Keegan Bradley for the 2025 Ryder Cup. Bradley was appointed as the team's captain just two weeks ago.

The 2025 Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, New York, USA from September 22 to 28.

As far as Simpson's record is concerned, he has had seven professional wins, all coming on the PGA Tour. He also won the US Open in 2012 by one stroke over Michael Thompson and Graeme McDowell. He is currently ranked No. 247 in the OWGR rankings.

Announcing the decision to appoint Simpson as vice-captain, Bradley said (via PGA Tour):

"Webb is someone who I have long admired and respected as a competitor and friend. He possesses a wealth of team golf experience and knows what it takes to win. Webb will be a valuable member of our leadership team and a trusted resource for me as we prepare for Bethpage Black next September."

Webb Simpson has played in three Ryder Cups for Team USA. He played for the country in 2012, 2014, and 2018. After being chosen as the vice-captain, he said (via PGA Tour):

“I am honored to be chosen by Keegan to serve as a vice captain in 2025. Competing in three Ryder Cups will forever be among my career highlights. I have no doubt that Keegan will be a fantastic captain and a tremendous leader, and could not be more excited to get to work as we seek to reclaim the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black."

In the 2012 Ryder Cup, Simpson earned two points for the USA. His overall record that year was 2–2–0. He won two matches in four balls with Bubba Watson. However, he lost his individual match with Ian Poulter and also suffered a defeat in foursomes with Watson.

In the 2014 Ryder Cup, Simpson earned 0.5 points for the USA with an overall record of 0–1–1. He halved his match with Ian Poulter and lost his fourballs partnered with Watson.

In 2018, Webb Simpson gained two points with an overall record of 2–1–0. He won his individual match with Justin Rose and one foursomes match with Watson while losing the other.
